Here is a miscellaneous assortment of stuff by and about me, Andy. I hope you find it entertaining.
I love taking pictures and will include as many as I can. Almost all of them are pictures I have taken myself.
If I don't have any good pictures to go along with what I'm telling you all about I'll try to be very descriptive.
Cars have always been an important aspect of life in my family. We would always help Dad work on the cars and eventually worked on our own cars. I even spent some time working as a mechanic. This is a 1927 Franklin that I had for several years.
This is my father with his 1929 Franklin that he drove when he was in college. He was pretty thrilled to drive my '27 when I got it!
My brother has the car bug as well. Here is a 1976 Mercedes 450SL, a 1965 Ford Thunderbird and a 1963 Mercury Meteor S33. All very cool cars.
This was one of my presents on my 50th birthday! So much fun! I couldn't stop smiling.
Chaco Canyon, New Mexico. This place is amazing! Everyone should visit there. The structures are over 1,000 years old and sustained a community of over 50,000 people.
Crooked Creek in north central Arkansas. This is a really beautiful part of the Ozarks that I highly recommend visiting.
Drivers, start you engines! Texas Motor Speedway! (just north of Fort Worth) This place is awesome! Even if you don't watch racing you will be blown away by an up close and personal encounter with racing. Feel it, smell it, you'll get hooked.
Check out this great video
This is a picture of the United Nations building that my father took in 1959. Notice the lack of security back then.
This is a picture of the United Nations building that I took in 2018. Notice the significantly increased security. The building still looks the same though.
The famous skyline with the Empire State building in the center, as it should be.
